Maybe Sammy is one of the cocktail bars in Sydney that gave me that 1950s vibe and glamour. The bartenders in Maybe Sammy are world-class standards.

Personally, I am a fan of bartenders who treat drinks like an art performance. You definitely need to see this for yourself.
Sammy’s is probably one of the best cocktail bars Sydney City has to offer.

I got nothing but exquisite cocktails and the atmosphere was just surprisingly sophisticated, perfect for special occasions and dates.
I also got a taste of their Signature Cocktail, they called it the “Sammy’s Sour”. This cocktail is a sweet balanced bourbon-based cocktail combined with citrus and egg white.

You get the best if you arrive early to snag a comfortable seat and enjoy their cocktail performance.

The bartenders are the highlight of the place, they put on such a show, and this can make it hard for you to want to leave that pub.
Their signature drink Sammy’s Sour was one of the most balanced flavor drinks I’ve ever tasted.

At first glance, I didn’t know how amazing Baxter Inn was until I got a taste of its thrilling cocktail shot. In addition to that, you will be amazed when you see their stock of rare whiskey collection.

This place is perfect for tourists looking for a chill cocktail spot, love birds looking to set up a date in a cocktail place, and whiskey enthusiasts looking for some of the best whiskey in town.

And their Signature Cocktail “The Old Fashioned” a whisky classic.

When you get a first taste, you instantly get that nostalgic whiskey feeling.

In addition to the cozy atmosphere, you hardly realize that time is passing by when you are in Baxter’s Inn.

As an additional privilege to their visitors and customers, they give you access to their rare whiskey collection, although you might have to ask for that specifically.

Eau de Vie

At Eau de Vie I saw one of the most extensive whiskey libraries, and their dramatic cocktail presentation makes them one of a kind when it comes to style.

There is a lot about this cocktail bar that you need to see for yourself.

They have very skilled bartenders and a cool environment. That place gives a speakeasy vibe type of experience.

Their signature cocktail is “Smoky Rob Roy”. They served this with a smoke-filled glass in the most dramatic way to keep you entertained.
They have a whiskey room, although it is reserved for private gatherings and elite events.

I was opportune to witness the performance around Smoky Rob Roy’s smoky unveiling. It was quite an unforgettable experience for me.

One of my favorite things about Bulletin Place is that they have a daily routine of changing their ingredients to add fresh local ingredients and produce different types of cocktails daily.

Unlike the usual cocktail bar Sydney has, Bulletin Place offers an exquisite experience of enjoying different types of cocktails every day you visit, this is how they keep things fresh.

Their Signature Cocktail is called “Bartender’s Choice”. They tailor this to your taste using nothing but fresh ingredients.

I had my fair share of Whiskey Sour at Shady Pines and I can tell you, It was not a disappointing experience at all, especially If you add the extra Western saloon decor that gives you a vibe that will charm you to stay even longer.

You get to climb up a hidden lift to the rooftop as part of the excitement of adventure. I enjoyed taking a sip of Gator Juice while looking at the sunset in the stunning city of Sydney.

The Lobo

The Lobo offers a rum-focused Caribbean vibe, with a mix of energetic ambiance. They serve a special taste of premium rums along with a tropical vibe style of cocktails.

For their “Signature Cocktail,” you get a taste of “The Zombie”.

I promise you, it is not that creepy.

In fact, this signature drink is a mix of fruit juice, a mix of rum, and a touch of absinthe. They usually have Rum Club events that you do not want to miss.

The perfect time to visit will be during or before the Run Club event. It can be adventurous, but it is also an opportunity to learn more about rum.
I enjoyed the tropical energy and the Zombie cocktail served by their bartenders. It was a perfect blend of energy and flavor.

Palmer & Co.

Palmer is that perfect 1920s-inspired vintage live jazz performances kind of place. Being at Palmer comes with that nostalgic feeling of stepping back in time and treating yourself to expertly crafted vintage cocktails, served by very talented bartenders.

Their signature cocktail is called “Southside”. This signature drink is a refreshing mix of gin, mint, lime, and simple syrup, you definitely know that you can’t miss this one if you are looking for Sydney’s cocktail bars.

Fun fact, when you do visit Palmer, try wearing vintage attire while going there, this will give you the full Palmer & Co experience and make you blend seamlessly into the ambiance of the environment.

The first time I ever had a Southside cocktail, I realized that there is a lot more to cocktail mix and taste than out there in the world, way more than we know. Southside cocktail was just exciting and different from what I was used to.

At PS40 they serve experimental house-made sodas mixed with nice cocktails. If you are a fan of minimalist design type of setting with playful and artistic drinks, then the PS40 is for you.

Their signature cocktail, “The Blackstrap Ginger” is made up of blackstrap rum and ginger beer, something nice for your tastebuds.
They serve a special soda drink that you can order to go. I had a taste of the Blackstrap Ginger cocktail.

It was quite intense and the soda just gave a more unique drinking experience. This is something I will definitely recommend for you cocktail lovers.

I definitely want to visit PS40 again, it was an awesome experience. If not for anything, I will visit again just to get a second taste of “The Blackstrap Ginger”.
